Walk ‘N’ Talk Wednesdays provide a safe, welcoming environment for adults aged 18+ to connect through walking and conversation.
Alongside our wider charity events and fundraising activities, Walk ‘N’ Talk groups continue to grow across the UK, helping people feel part of a supportive community.
Whether you want to attend, volunteer or help lead a group in your area, we would love to hear from you.
Events play a central role in building awareness, strengthening community connection and generating the funds needed to support individuals across the UK.
Through fundraising initiatives and our growing Walk ‘N’ Talk network, we continue to create safe spaces and meaningful opportunities for people to come together.

Fundraising allows Best Mates to continue providing lived-experience support and expand into new communities.
We are supported by individuals, businesses and community groups who take on challenges, host events and organise initiatives to raise vital funds. From sponsored runs and charity golf days to workplace fundraising and community events, every effort contributes directly to helping someone who needs support.
If you would like to organise a fundraiser on behalf of Best Mates, we can provide guidance, branding materials and promotional support to help you make it a success.
Your effort can make a real difference.

Walk ‘N’ Talk Wednesdays provide a welcoming, informal and supportive environment for adults aged 18 and over. Each group offers a safe space to walk side by side, talk openly if you wish, and feel part of a community that understands.
Walks last approximately 1.5 hours and cover around 2.5 to 3 kilometres at a comfortable pace. There is no pressure to speak. Some walk quietly. Others share openly. Everyone is welcome.
Registration is required at the beginning of the event, so no need to pre-book, and walks continue in most weather conditions across different terrains.
Our Veterans Programme is designed to support former service men and women who may be facing mental, emotional or practical challenges after their time in the forces. Many veterans carry experiences that can feel difficult to talk about, and too often they feel isolated once they return to civilian life.
